LCT Announces Registration is Open for Storytelling for Adults and 24 Hour Project
La Crosse, WI – 01/23/19 – La Crosse Community Theatre announces that registration is now open for two adult education opportunities, Storytelling for Adults and the 24 Hour Project. Storytelling for Adults meets on Tuesday evenings February 12 through April 2, 2019 at Weber Center for the Performing Arts. The 24 Hour Project runs February 22-23, 2019 at Weber Center for the Performing Arts.
Our education program reflects our mission. The goals of our education program are to provide opportunities for creativity and personal growth in a fun, collaborative environment and to celebrate human connections through communication and interactions.
Storytelling for Adults, for age 18 and up, meets from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday evenings. This class is designed for adults who wish to learn how to tell a compelling and enjoyable story. It looks at what makes a good story, where to find good stories, how to write an engaging personal story, and different ways to make a story interesting. This is an interactive class with audio, video, and live demonstrations by professional storytellers.
24 Hour Project, for age 18 and up, begins Friday, February 22 and concludes Saturday, February 23. Write, direct, or perform a never before seen show in just 24 hours. Join us for the kick-off party at 7:00 p.m. Friday night, then return the next day for an all-day rehearsal. At 7:00 p.m.—it’s show time! The performance is open to the public and will be pay-what-you-can at the door.
Registration is $150 for Storytelling for Adults and $20 for the 24 Hour Project for each student. Registration may be completed through the box office or online at www.lacrossecommunitytheatre.org.
