This past year at La Crosse Community Theatre can only be described as a year of expansion, as we boldly took a significant step forward by purchasing a secondary building! While we’ll proudly continue to call the Weber Center for the Performing Arts our home, this project will allow us to enhance our programming, provide more opportunities for our community, and create even more memorable experiences for everyone involved. I do sometimes wonder what I’ve gotten us into, but I know with the love and support this community shows to La Crosse Community Theatre, our expansion project will be a success!
While I didn’t have to make any unexpected cameos last season, we kicked off our 2024-2025 season with Oliver!, a show about transformations, which was filled our stage with energy and joy and a malfunctioning sound system on opening night. I made twice as many speeches from the stage that night than I expected, but the cast and crew kept it together and put on a wonderful performance. Deer Camp and White Christmas will be wrapping up soon. They've provided delightful (and campy) entertainment for the holiday season.
