At La Crosse Community Theatre, our education programs inspire creativity, build confidence, and empower our community through the transformative magic of theatre. Our diverse offerings—from the inclusive Penguin Project to the dynamic experiences of Star Academy and Encore Academy, and our upcoming 2026 Touring Production—ensure that learners of all ages can engage with the arts in meaningful ways.
We are thrilled to announce that Altra Federal Credit Union is now the official Title Sponsor of our Education Programming. Their generous support not only honors our longstanding commitment to accessible theatre education but also fuels our expansion into new initiatives and opportunities. With Altra’s partnership, we can reach even more students and families, bringing world-class theatre experiences directly into our schools and communities.
Together with Altra, we continue our mission to enrich lives through the performing arts, making theatre an inspiring and essential part of every community member’s journey.
Our theatre for youth program is a gentle introduction to the world of theatre and includes opportunities to experience live theatre as an audience member, to perform on stage, and to expand your skills in our intensives.
The Penguin Project was created by Dr. Andrew Morgan and provides children with special needs an opportunity to develop creative skills, partner and network with others, and participate in a fully realized musical production.
La Crosse Community Theatre is proud to announce the launch of Encore Academy, our brand-new education program designed for teens and adults who are passionate about the performing arts. This program offers a variety of classes to nurture talent, build confidence, and refine skills, no matter your level of experience.
